Apple Hazelnut Tart

0.333cupsugar, granulated
0.66cupflour, all-purpose
8Tbbutter, salted

3largeapples, peeled and sliced
2ozbourbon, Jack Daniels
0.25cupsugar, brown
1Tbcinnamon. ground
0.333cupapricot jam
0.333cupcaramel sauce
 

Place nuts, white sugar and flour in food processor. Blend until nuts are ground into flour. With processor running add butter in pieces, along with vanilla and egg. When dough forms place in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Peal and core apples, slice into thin slices. Place in bowl with bourbon. Press dough into greased tart pan, bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, until golden brown. Cool, arrange apple slices in circle, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Brush entire top, including crust with jam and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Drizzle with caramel sauce* and serve.

Make Valentine cake (only ) in cookie sheet.

Cut cake into 3-inch rounds using cutter or thin wine glass. Place 1 dip of softened ice cream in center of cake round, spread evenly. Freeze to firm. Beat egg whites and sugar until stiff. Spread egg whites around cake and ice cream to totally cover. Place in broiler until golden, just a few minutes. Serve surrounded by hot fudge sauce.

Note: May be frozen as cake, cake with ice cream, or finished product. Broil to brown prior to serving.

Chocolate Tart

Preheat oven to 375 degrees; bake tarts shells in 41/2 tart pans for 8-10 minutes. Cool tart shells. Fill with chocolate ganache; arrange raspberries on top and sprinkle with powder sugar.

To maintain the shine of the tarts don't refrigerate before serving.

Croissant Bread Pudding

Slice croissants and leave on counter overnight. Mix all remaining ingredients in large bowl. Dip croissants in mixture, place in large, greased, oven-proof pan, and pour remaining mixture over the top. Bake 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven, or until lightly brown
